Osteoporosis is a serious threat and Western Ob/Gyn wants to prevent you from becoming a victim to this disease.
Approximately 44 million Americans have or are at increased risk for osteoporosis, a disease characterized by low bone mass and increased susceptibility to fractures. Eighty percent of those affected are women.
We provide full bone densitometry testing (spine, femur and total body composition, if requested). In addition, we have a specially trained provider who can meet with you to discuss your test results and treatment, including nutrition, exercise and medication.
We want to help all our patients prevent osteoporosis and/or the advancement of this serious condition.
We ask our patients to complete a bone mineral loss and osteoporosis risk assessment form to determine whether you are a candidate for a screening test.
Be sure to discuss the prevention and treatment of bone mineral loss and osteoporosis with your provider. If you would like to schedule an appointment with a Western provider please call 952-442-2137 (Waconia) or 952-556-0071 (Chaska).
